Molly Malone’s in Covington, KY will be presenting Dan Stacey (StepCrew/former Seven Nations), Mirella Murray (Cherish the Ladies), and Will MacMoran (Seven Nations) on October 29th at 9:30 PM in the pub area.

This will be a great show, so start the Halloween celebrations early and bring your friends down for a pint, some chow, and listen to some great traditional Irish music.

Reel Roots will be giving away a $25 gift certificate to Sam Ash Music Stores at the Goitse concert on September 13th at Molly Malone’s Irish Pub in Covington, KY.

Anyone who purchases tickets in advance or at the door for the Goitse concert will be put in the drawing to win the gift certificate. Winner will be announced during the intermission the night of the show.

This just in! Irish folk band Goitse will be playing at Molly Malone’s Irish Pub in Covington, KY on September 13th, 2011.

This five piece band features tunes and songs deeply rooted in the Irish tradition. Now in their third year, this band’s young members are students of Traditional Music and Dance at the University of Limerick.

The band will be playing this summer at the Dublin Ohio Irish Festival, so check them out at the festival this summer (August 5-7) if you haven’t heard their music. Then in September we’ll be welcoming the band to Greater Cincinnati for an intimate concert at Molly Malone’s.

This coming may, Scottish folk sensation Old Blind Dogs will be joining us in Cincinnati in 2011 for their first concert here in several years. We are thrilled to have them, especially since they have released a new CD with some great new tunes!

The concert will take place at the 20th Century Theatre in Oakley (Cincinnati) on May 5, 2011 at 8:00 PM. Tickets are on sale now, and are $20 in advance $25 at the door, so make sure you order early and save yourselves some money!

Teada’s Irish Christmas in America is coming to Cincinnati December 16th! The show will take place at the 20th Century Theatre in Oakley at 8:00 PM.

The concert will feature traditional Irish tunes, singing, dancing, and storytelling. Bring the whole family for a great night of holiday entertainment.

The first Reel Roots concert featuring Irish duo Brendan Begley and Caoimhin O Raghallaigh went off without a hitch! The show was enjoyed by an enthusiastic crowd, and the band received rave reviews and a standing ovation from the audience.

We would like to thank Ian Barrett for running the sound at the concert. He did a fantastic job! And thanks to all of our volunteers who helped at the door.

We can’t wait to have the lads back to Cincinnati in the future!

Right now we are gearing up for the start of our first fall concert series. Starting in late October, we will begin welcoming some of the world’s best Irish musicians to the Cincinnati area!

The concert series begins on October 28th with Brendan Begley & Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh at the Madisonville Arts Center. The concert will feature songs from the duo’s new CD which has just been released.

We will continue on November 10th with John Whelan and Tommy O’Sullivan at Molly Malone’s Irish Pub in Covington. John and Tommy have planned a special performance for us, and we are really looking forward to the lively songs and tunes from these men!

Finally, we will wrap up the series with Téada’s Irish Christmas in America production on December 16th at the 20th Century Theatre in Oakley. The show is a family-friendly holiday show, featuring Irish carols and ballads, traditional style dance, and storytelling. Some of our local dancers will also be joining the performance, so make sure you come to support them.
